Jewellery Making Taster Days

This one-day course is the perfect introduction to jewellery making and silversmithing. Whether you are new to the art of jewellery making and silversmithing, would like to improve your current skills or treat a friend or loved one, this course is suitable for all abilities.
New students are offered the chance to create their own personalised silver ring or bangle with a range of shapes, sizes and surface finishes to choose from. This project is perfect for introducing you to the basics of silversmithing, such as annealing, shaping, piercing (sawing), soldering, filing and polishing.
For those who already have some experience in jewellery making, or who have something else that they would particularly like to make, tell us your ideas and we will do our best to help you realise your vision. A skilled tutor will be on hand throughout the day to offer guidance and advice with your creations.
As students will each use a different amount of silver, the material cost is additional and payable on the day. To give you an example, silver for a ring would cost between £5 and £15, and for a bangle between £25 and £50 depending on its weight, so it is up to you how much you spend. There are no other additional costs, as all tools, equipment and consumables will be provided inclusive of the course fee.
The course fee includes use of all tools, equipment and consumables.

Private Taster Days
Searching for a fun and unique way to celebrate a special birthday, hen do or wedding anniversary? Or perhaps some one-on-one tuition in a quiet studio to plan and execute your desired project? Our private taster days for up to eight people allow you the space and tools to bring your plan to life – whatever the occasion.
Our private group courses run from 10am-4pm and are £110 per person, for 5-8 people. This includes one-on-one tutoring and refreshments. We can also provide lunch for £8 per person. Materials are available to purchase on the day.
Courses for smaller/larger groups and for a shorter duration can also be arranged - get in touch to find out details and costs.

The day is from 10am to 4pm. Materials are additional and can be purchased on the day. You can bring a packed lunch, or we can provide lunch at £8 per person. Tea, coffee and biscuits are provided.
